Kristina Grünenberg, Associate Professor and Anja Simonsen, Postdoc, University of Copenhagen:"Securing the future? A tale about security and uncertainty among migrants and tech-developers"

Seminar - REMESO - Department of Social and Welfare Studies
The presentation will explain how Somali migrants on the move, on the one hand, and researchers working on the development of biometrics in their labs, on the other, conceive of their practices as movements away from uncertainty towards security. The two groups can be considered part of the same assemblage - or as what Anna Tsing calls “messy encounters”.
